Double Play Candy Corn Spirea was developed by Proven Winners and is a compact deciduous shrub prized for its beautiful, year-round, ever-changing medley of foliage colors from bright candy apple red to a pineapple yellow and orange hue. Dark purple blooms will appear during springtime and early summer. Attracts butterflies. Rounded and mounded growth habit, Candy Corn will reach up to 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide when matured. Relatively low maintenance and does not require pruning to keep its nice rounded shape. However, a trim after the flowers fade will help encourage even more colorful new growth. Lives in zones 4-8 and prefers full sun to partial sun and adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions including clay. Great for borders, edging, mass plantings, specimen or focal point, and containers. This is a deciduous shrub. Plants shipped November through March will arrive dormant, may not have foliage. Plants shipped April through October will arrive green or in bloom.
